HBC Pepto Time

2014 Red Roan

HBC Pepto Time, or “Limo” as he is affectionately called in the barn, is willing to put in a hard day’s work and walk into any adventure I ask of him! This is a horse who is at his gate, nickering and ready to go as soon as he hears my spurs walking down the barn aisle. He has TA’ed far too many riding classes with me here at school, led countless trail rides in the hills behind class, and only gotten braver and more confident every single time. He is easy to collect, with a smooth and comfortable stride, and is a good stopper to top it off. Limo has had ropes swung off of him, tracked the roping dummy, worked the flag and real-life cows, and been used as a turnback horse many times. Having ridden him for the past three years, this horse has a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to see the great things he does with his new person!

Anika completed her undergrad at Cal Poly in December 2018 and received her Bachelor's in Animal Science with a minor in Equine Science. During that time she participated in the Quarter Horse Enterprise three years in a row, and is excited to continue the trend even now as she pursues her Master's in Agriculture Education. Anika has loved every moment of working with the horses in the Quarter Horse Enterprise and plans to take all of the things she has learned from them (and Lou) into the classroom upon completing this next step in her education!
