Cute as a button, this sweet gelding is a little bundle of joy. Easy going and pleasant he’d made a great partner for the trail or for someone looking for that all-around gelding that can do a little bit of everything. He puts in a good effort at whatever is asked of him and takes on new things with confidence.

 

 

By HOT PEPPER CAT (2010) AQHA chestnut stallion.  Son of HIGH BROW CAT, NCHA earnings of $110,102.  NCHA all-time leading sire, an NRCHA all-time leadings ire, and an AQHA all-time leading sire.  Sire of NCHA money earners with official NCHA earnings in excess of $76,000,000, including DONT LOOK TWICE, earner of $824,546, METALLIC CAT, earner of $637,711.

 

1st Dam: MERRYS PEPPY TAZ (2004) AQHA chestnut mare.  NCHA money earner of $2,000, by PEPTO TAZ, LTE:  $132,224 with offspring earnings in excess of $1.2 million, 8 championships, 8 reserve championships, 21 Top 10 finishes, and sired by PEPTOBOONSMAL, LTE:  $180,487:  1995 NCHA Open Futurity Champion, sire of cutting horses who have earned $21,014,619, plus reined cow horses who have earned $1,371,605 and reining horses who have earned $263,728.

Student trainer: Kira Olson

Kira is a fourth year Animal Science major and this is her second year participating in the performance horse sale. She grew up riding mainly western, and competed in various gymkhana shows. She currently works for the Beef Unit and is a student manager at the Meat Processing Center. After graduation she hopes to start a career in the area of rangeland management but will always enjoy riding her horses.
