CP Lightnin Strike, also known as "Toast," is a quiet, honest bay gelding with a silly personality and a great demeanor. He has so much try and is a quick thinker with everything that is asked of him. He has an overall very easy-going personality and trainable brain. He picks things up very quickly and never gets testy or angry. He is a loyal boy who thinks things through.

By: METALLIC CATTACK (2015) Double Registered AQHA/APHA red roan stallion. LTE of over $30,000. He started his career in cutting earning $27,717, and then transitioned into the roping pen. In 2018, at age 3, he was an NCHA Open Futurity Semi-Finalist. In 2019 at age 4, he was a Non-Pro Derby Finalist & Sale Incentive Co-Reserve Champion at the Breeders Invitational. After his switch to roping, he proved himself with many accomplishments. At age 5, he was a 2020 APHA world champion in tie-down roping (All-Age Open Tie-Down). Again in 2020 he was AQHA World Show Bronze Champion in the Junior Tie-Down Roping. At 5 years old he was 5th in the 2020 AQHA World Show (Junior Tie-Down Roping L2 Open).
1st Dam: LIGHTNIN WILD CARD (2017) AQHA Buckskin mare. By WILD CARD DUN IT (2001) AQHA buckskin stallion. He was AQHA Jr. High Point All-Around Champion, NRCHA money earner as well as AQHA point earner in heading, heeling, calf roping, working cow horse, and halter. WILD CARD DUN IT is son of HOLLYWOOD DUN IT, LTE of $65,000. He is a foundation sire decorated in the NRHA being named NRHA $6 million sire. He was 1986 NRHA Futurity Reserve Champion, among many other accomplishments.

Student Rider: Ollie Gaggero
Ollie is a third-year Agriculture Business major who grew up riding on her family's ranch in Ventura, CA. She has ridden her whole life in a variety of disciplines and, most recently, has been competing in some local sorting events. Ollie learned so much in 344 & 345 and is extremely excited to continue her knowledge in QH for the first time.
