Student Rider: Josie Payne

Josie is a third year Civil Engineering major with a minor in Equine Science. She has
been riding for nearly ten years, primarily riding her horses back home on the trails in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Over the years, she has developed a passion for spending time with these incredible animals and is always eager to learn more from them. This will be her first year in the Quarter Horse Enterprise and she is very excited to have the opportunity to work with Cal Poly’s talented colts and expand her knowledge and experience in establishing a strong foundation on young horses.
